If you’re enrolled in a ToyotaCare program, instead of paying out of pocket at the time of service, you pay absolutely nothing for any covered work. Sounds pretty sweet, right?

Toyota Maintenance Plans

You can think of ToyotaCare as sort of an umbrella term that describes a few different programs. Not all are created equal, and they all cover different timeframes, mileage limits, and services.

ToyotaCare

This is the basic plan that comes standard with every new Toyota at no additional cost. Whether you finance, lease, or buy outright, you’ll be automatically covered for oil changes, tire rotations, fluid top-offs, and multi-point inspections, all performed by factory-trained Toyota technicians. The program also includes roadside assistance when you need it.

Coverage: 2 years or 25,000 miles (except the Toyota Mirai, which is covered for 3 years or 35,000 miles)

Roadside assistance (most models): 2 years and unlimited miles (3 years and unlimited miles for the Prius, Prius Plug-in Hybrid, bZ4X, bZ, and Mirai)

ToyotaCare Plus

If you end up loving your ToyotaCare coverage and want to keep enjoying it, you’re in luck. ToyotaCare Plus allows you to extend coverage for a variety of terms, ranging from 3 years/35,000 miles up to 5 years/75,000 miles. In order to qualify, your vehicle has to have been eligible for the basic ToyotaCare package, and it must have less than 31,000 miles and be less than 37 months since the vehicle was first put in service. The program covers everything that the regular ToyotaCare package does.

Coverage: Up to 5 years or 75,000 miles

Roadside assistance: Up to 5 years or 75,000 miles

ToyotaCare Plus Service Drive

This prepaid maintenance plan is for Toyota owners who have less than 31,000 miles and their vehicle is less than 37 months old, allowing you to extend coverage for up to two years to lock in maintenance costs and protect against inflation.

Coverage: Up to 4 years or 45,000 miles

Roadside assistance: 4 years and unlimited miles

Toyota Service Care

If you’re unable to qualify for ToyotaCare Plus or ToyotaCare Plus Service Drive, fret not, because you’ll likely still be able to enjoy Toyota Service Care. Regardless of mileage, Toyota Service Care allows you to extend your coverage so you can eliminate the guesswork when the time comes to bring your car in for routine service. The program covers all of the same things as ToyotaCare and also comes with roadside assistance.

Coverage: An additional 2 years and unlimited miles
