I had spent the better part of a morning calling two other closerTcloser dealership's trying to find detailed information on cutting a door key for my 1997 Toyota Avalon after each call I was left frustrated because they were not being clear with me on why they would not be able to tell me beforehand if they could get the code for the key cut. They wanted me there in person first with proof of ownership. But wouldn't tell me why 😞 Which led me to Bobby at Molle Toyota😃 in Kansas City. I called the parts department there and told him I was in Pittsburg kansas and that he probably would never see me because of the distance, that did not stop him from being super kind and professional and explaining to me the liability reasons behind key cutting in the automotive industry. Overall, as a first time car buyer, the experience was not that bad. Langdon was incredibly helpful/informative and actually seemed like he wanted to give me the best deal I could get. I was there for quite some time (while he and a manager talked w/various banks) but I wasn’t left in the dark about what was happening. The man in finance (did not see him listed) didn’t seem quite as friendly and just wanted to be done but it was getting late. Glad I did business with Molle Toyota.

One hiccup was when the car I purchased was found damaged prior to delivery which made me spend an extra $1200 for the features that I didn't need as there were no other alternatives. RAV4 in for service appt. Battery not holding charge. Jason Murray did not indicate projected wait time. After an hour wait checked back with Jason Murray and he said it could take couple more hours. Rude and dismissive. When i picked up car, Jason handed me the key with no follow up explanation other than battery was recovered. As a 17 year customer of Molle Toyota, this is the first time I was treated so poorly. i did appreciate Jason wiping down everything and masking properly. He has helped me before, and was most courteous, something was off today.

My Scion has been making a noise for awhile. When I came in on 10/15/19 I was told there was a bearing loose in the alternator which would cost 863.00. When I came in on 5/12/20 I was told it was the belt tensioner and the cost would be 378.00. I returned on 6/23/20 to have the repair done to find out it was the idler pulley instead. This has been frustrating as I could have spent a lot of money on something that was not broken. I come to Molle because your team is usually top notch and I trust what I am told when I bring my car in for service but I am now having doubts.

My experiences with Molle have always been positive. The reps always take care of me, and Brandon Holsburg kept that good streak running. However, given the ongoing COVID pandemic and the recent city-wide mask-wearing ordinance that went into place, I was disheartened to see several employees not wearing masks (Brandon, however, kept his on, so more bonus points to him). I get it; masks are a pain, and no one "wants" to wear them. It's not a question of convenience or desire, though; the disease continues to spread at breakneck speed in most states. Wearing a mask is the very least a person can do that has the most impact on mitigating the virus' spread. I hope that Molle will step up its response and show that it can be a leader among local businesses in this regard. Thanks!
