How Often Should I Rotate My Tires?

When Should I Stop By?

There is a strict schedule to adhere to that makes sure you are operating your ride in a safe manner. Since most vehicles vary in their respective needs, we suggest that you take a look at your Owner’s Manual first. If you can’t seem to find yours, then it is the best plan to swing by every six months as a general timeline. This way, you can extend the lifespan of your rubbers while making sure that your treads haven’t eroded past their point of no return. More specifically, if you are keeping track since your last rotation, you should make sure that you pull into our service bay before you hit the 7,000-mile mark. This way, you can conquer our Midwestern winters with authority!

Warning Signs

There are a couple of red flags that you should be cognizant of that will let you know your tires have degraded far beyond repair. It is important to avoid these, so you don’t have to spring for an entire set too early. One thing to be mindful of is if your steering wheel starts to vibrate when you exceed speeds of 45 MPH. This is your rubbers directly telling you that there is tire imbalance due to pressure loss. This can become a bit risky because the result of this can be a popped tire while you are making your morning commutes. You can check on the condition of yours by simply taking a look right from home! If you notice uneven wear between your tires’ treads, then that signifies that an irregular pattern is forming. Also, you should be on high alert for cracks in the sidewall.

My 80 year old mother has been a customer of Molle for decades. Last week she totaled her Matrix (bought from Molle). I brought in an old clunker Sienna van the family uses as a backup emergency vehicle. Jason was genuinely concerned for my mother's condition and understood we were looking to do the minimum possible to get the van into a state that could be used for a short term vehicle. He could have easily hyped up the need to replace the exhaust system or any number of other things. He did not do that - he recommended doing only what was absolutely necessary. He was compassionate, honest and helped ease a stressful situation. We will be back in a few months to start looking for a replacement for the Matrix.
